Invisalign
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a modern alternative to traditional braces, using a series of clear, removable aligner trays to gradually straighten your teeth. Whether you have crowded, gappy, rotated or crooked teeth, Invisalign offers a comfortable and almost invisible solution.
With over 15 million smiles transformed worldwide, it’s one of the most popular choices for clear aligner orthodontics.
What’s Involved in Invisalign Treatment?
-
Initial Consultation
Your journey starts with a comprehensive orthodontic assessment at our Bedale clinic. We’ll take photographs and a digital 3D scan of your teeth to check your suitability for Invisalign. -
ClinCheck Simulation
Using your scan, we’ll create a virtual preview of how your smile will look after treatment. -
Receiving Your Aligners
If you’re suitable, your custom Invisalign aligners will be made and delivered. You’ll wear each set for around 1 to 2 weeks, slowly moving your teeth into their desired positions. -
Monitoring Progress
You’ll have check-ups every few weeks to monitor your progress and receive your next sets of aligners. -
Attachments (if needed)
Sometimes, small tooth-coloured attachments are bonded to your teeth to help guide movement. These are removed once treatment is complete.
Is Invisalign suitable for everyone?
Invisalign is suitable for many mild to moderate orthodontic cases. We’ll assess your teeth at your consultation to determine if it’s the right option.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Treatment time varies depending on your individual case but typically ranges from 6 to 18 months.
Are the aligners really invisible?
They’re very discreet and barely noticeable when worn – perfect for adults or teens who want a low-key option.
Can I eat and drink with the aligners in?
No – you’ll remove your aligners to eat and drink anything other than water, which helps keep them clean and effective.
Is Invisalign painful?
Invisalign is more comfortable than metal braces, though you may feel slight pressure when switching to a new set of aligners.
